Originally from Sydney and now based in London, M.K. (Melissa Kathryn) Rose has performed in two premiere theatre productions, Home: For A Lost Soldier at the Tristan Bates Theatre and Welcome to the Rose Cottage at the Bread & Roses Theatre, appeared in the award-winning short film MICAL produced by Gordon Lewis, has worked as a role-player for corporate training schools, and is thrilled to be back onstage in The Dark Room, her debut production with the Tower Theatre Company. M.K. has been performing for 30+ years and has taken on some of the most well-known protagonists, including Hedda Gabler in Hedda Gabler, Eliza Doolittle in Pygmalion, Rosalind in As You Like It, and Rita in Educating Rita. M.K. Rose is currently represented by Twenty-Nine Five Group.
This is Eloise McCreedy's fourth show with the Tower Theatre and she is honoured to be performing the role of Grace in this incredible Australian play. Eloise is a proud Aussie who graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and has performed at the Melbourne Fringe Festival and the Melbourne Recital Centre. Her credits include Patricia Milligan in London Wall (Tower Theatre), Actor in New Writers Programme (KDC Theatre), Trudi in Apologia (Putney Theatre Company), Becky in An IQ Test For My Birthday (Tower Theatre), Sibyl in Private Lives (Richmond Shakespeare Society) and most recently, Sonya in Crime and Punishment (Tower Theatre).
For the Tower, Matt Tylianakis was previously seen as Gratiano in The Merchant of Venice, as Otis/Gaddarn in Coram Boy and, most recently, Ilya and Luzhin in Crime and Punishment. He's been fairly active in the London amateur theatre scene since arriving here over a decade ago from New Zealand. He's appeared as Soranzo in Tis Pity She's A Whore (KDC), as Sweeney Todd in Sweeney Todd (Spread Eagle Players) and as Harry Brewer in Our Country's Good (SEDOS). In real life he works in the graphic design industry as digital damage control.
Sarah Tiplady is an Australian actor, having honed her craft in London under the guidance of Laurence Mitchell (Home Studio), Gary Condés, and at Mountview Theatre School. She is represented by Creative Screen Management in the UK and Howell Management in Australia. Sarah's recent professional work includes Nusa Studios, playing Sara in Exposure (Gatton Films), Karen in the award-winning music video Bird of Prey (Yann Selakovitch Production), and a featured role in The Reytons' Adrenaline (2024). She fell head over heels for this truly remarkable Australian play, and cannot wait to bring this vital story to stage at the Tower Theatre.
This is Stephen Grist's debut show at the Tower. His most recent performances have been with South London Theatre in their summer shorts, as Bill in One for Sorrow and in various roles in The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui. Prior to these, Steve has acted with the Quince Players, Sunninghill; Wokingham Theatre; and Santiago Stage, Chile. Roles with those companies have included Henry Purkiss in Funny Money, Lord Arthur in Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime, and Hal in Loot. Directorial credits include Oleanna with Santiago Stage.
The Dark Room is Femi Davies' second production as an actor with the Tower, having previously appeared in Ain't I A Woman? in July. He trained with Identity School of Acting, Kingdom School of Arts and City Academy and has appeared in showcases such as Chicago and Constellations. He also has a background including short films and stand-up comedy, is currently training with Middleweek Newton Academy, studying BA Acting with Court Theatre Training Company, and, for fun, "like(s) to be funny and work on music and stuff."
Katia Elsianli has been a member of the Tower since 2019. First involved in stage management, both in amateur and professional productions, she soon moved on to working as an Assistant Director. Productions include The Merchant of Venice (2021), Coram Boy (2022) (which was also performed at the spectacular Minack Theatre in Cornwall) and The Gift (2023). With background studies in Psychology, Dramatology and Performance Theories she is eager to experiment with intuition and spontaneity on stage. The Dark Room will be her directorial debut at the Tower.
